Founded in 2002, we are a Hong Kong-based boutique fund management company investing on behalf of institutions, high net-worth professional investors / family offices. We manage funds in special situations strategy with AUM over two billion US dollars focusing in private investments in Southeast Asia and Greater China.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly proactive and motivated Operations trainee to join our team. As an Operations Trainee, you will gain valuable exposure to the inner workings of a special situations fund, particularly in transactions covering Southeast Asia and Greater China. This role will provide you with a solid foundation and hands-on experience in fund operations, trade support, and portfolio administration

Responsibilities:

Assist in daily operations tasks, including fund accounting, valuation, trade confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation
Collaborate with various teams and external service providers (i.e., custodians, brokers, fund administrators, auditors, lawyers, etc) to ensure accurate and timely processing of fund transactions and related documentation
Support the portfolio management team in monitoring and tracking investments, including updating investment records and portfolio reporting
Assist in the preparation of fund performance reports, investor communications, and regulatory filings
Conduct research and analysis on operational best practices to identify opportunities for process improvements related to marketing, tax, legal, and compliance issues

Qualification:

University graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related disciplines preferred
Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, database, and web applications. Programming expertise is a plus
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Articulate in English and Mandarin
